Giardino di Famiglia
Cabernet Sauvignon - Nero d’Avola
The 2018 harvest showed excellent weather-climate balance and yield maintaining the average levels reached in past years. In a quality perspective, the type of soil and the cultivation conditions applied allowed the grapes to benefit from the summer rainfall during July and August, achieving an excellent water balance. Harvesting times were then extended due to slower maturation and higher sugar content accumulating in the berries, bringing greater acidic and aromatic freshness

Vinification and refinement
The grapes are harvested when fully ripe. The grapes are vinified in small stainless steel tanks, and undergo prolonged maceration. At the end of fermentation, the Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in French oak barriques and the Nero d’Avola in oak barrels. Then, after being blended and bottled, the wines are aged in bottle.
Tasting notes
Deep red, with a generous, complex nose offering clear varietal traits. Good structure on the palate is underpinned by hefty tannins and a long, lingering aftertaste.
